Hometown Testimonial

I grew up in Beaver and I am a huge fan of history. I remember the field trips very well and remember having such a great time. I remember being on the Trolley going around town to different landmarks.  They took us to the Beaver Cemetery and taught us about the unknown girl.  We learned about Fort McIntosh and how it played an important role in the revolutionary war.  We learned that one of the homes in Beaver actually has pieces of that fort in it.  We learned who King Beaver was and why Beaver is called Beaver.  And I remember everyone enjoying the museum and log house afterwards.

The museum really made me realize all the history right here and what a special town we have. After I graduated from Beaver I went to Pitt and earned a degree in finance. I interned with Tod Arbutina’s wealth management firm and realized I had a future with him in Beaver if I wanted it.

That was such an easy decision for me. I accepted the offer and am now a certified financial planner and a shareholder with Three Cord True Wealth Management in Beaver. My wife Corinne and I purchased a home here where we are raising our children Joey and Jane. It’s exactly where we want to be!

To echo your founder Harry Phillips, I can’t say enough about the uniqueness of Beaver as a hometown. And what an asset the Museum and Beaver Station are to our community. They really make a difference in the culture of what we show to ourselves and the outside world. What you have is someplace special. You’ve been able to convey meaning to young students at an age when you really can make a strong impression on their hearts and minds. It all certainly worked on me! I love this place. Thank you.
